This course explores the structure, function, and movement of the human body, including muscular, skeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, endocrine, urinary, and reproductive systems.
An overview of inflammatory and infectious processes and common conditions affecting body systems, with an emphasis on massage considerations and contraindications.
Covers foundational massage techniques, sanitation, draping, ethics, client assessment, documentation, and professional conduct.
Hands-on clinical experience providing massage to the public under professional supervision.
Specialized instruction for safely working with oncology patients and those with lymphedema
Introduction to Lōmilōmi (25 Hours)
An introduction to traditional Hawaiian Lōmilōmi massage, including cultural context, philosophy, intention, and flowing techniques.
Introduction to Thai Massage (25 Hours)
Foundational Thai massage techniques emphasizing assisted stretching, rhythmic compression, and mindful movement.
Business Foundations & Values (7 Hours)
Covers licensing, insurance, professional organizations, resumes, interviews, and basic business planning.
Spa Applications (10 Hours)
Introduction to spa services and protocols.
Self-Care for the Massage Therapist (5 Hours)
Focuses on physical, emotional, and professional longevity.
Adult & Infant CPR (3 Hours)
CPR and AED certification for adult, child, and infant emergencies.
